As I’m sure you’re aware, the site has been growing tremendously over past months. As a result, we are looking for interested individuals who have a passion for games and writing. We are looking for promising individuals who have a strong desire to succeed and gain experience in the industry. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our experienced staff and have your work showcased in front of our vast readership. The following positions do receive monetary compensation.
Positions Available:
TGR Writer: TGR Staff Writers work hand in hand with our sites experienced editors to help create the content that fuels our site. They must have a solid understanding of the English Language, as well as the gaming industry. This position is designed to help new journalists break into the industry at the entry level (we do compensate our staff). Our editors will help you improve you craft, as we give you more and more experience and exposure, as you develop your own set of industry contacts. Prior work is not required but is an asset.
Requirements:
· Strong Understanding of the English Language and Games Industry
· Ability to communicate in both an interesting and informative manner.
· Desire to learn and improve.
· Willing to commit to at least 10 hours a week.
· The ability to find one’s own stories and news tips.
· Ability to write about topics relevant to our readership
Responsibilities:
· Must write and conduct one’s self in a professional manner.
· Utilize source material to the best of one’s ability in order to create interesting stories from a unique angle.
· Writers must be able to keep a steady workflow and meet all deadlines.
Associate Editors: TGR Associate Editors are experienced individuals, who have a comprehensive knowledge of the gaming industry, as well as the English Language. Previous work is expected, as well as references. Associate Editors are responsible for helping to manage both content and staff members. They work hand in hand with our writers and senior staff, helping to create the best possible content for the site. They also are expected to help come up with ideas for features and various other pieces. Editors will be building their own worth, as they develop contacts and gain beneficial experience.
Requirements:

· Willing to commit to at least 20 hours a week.
· Past experience in journalism
· Basic HTML Knowledge.
· Ability to write about topics relevant to our readership
Responsibilities:
· Must write and conduct one’s self in a professional manner.
· Utilize source material to the best of one’s ability in order to create interesting stories from a unique angle.
· Editors must be able to keep a steady workflow and meet all deadlines.
· Editing writers work to help it attain the most professional quality possible.
· Work directly with senior staff to help direct the sites editorial direction.
TGR Directorship Positions: Directors serve as the head over their respective division of TGR. They work directly with upper level management to help improve the sites quality, structure and format. In general, each director is in charge editorial of their respective division. They are responsible for the quality and quantity of content produced. They are in charge of assignments, deadlines and scheduling for their division. They are in charge of training the writers and editors underneath them. Each will be given specific expectations based upon their position.
Requirements:
· Fluent understanding of the game industry and journalism.
· Ability to conduct themselves in a professional and businesslike manner.
· Willing to commit at least 30 hours.
· Past industry experience.
· Ability to manage individual effectively.
· Basic HTML Knowledge.
Responsibilities:
· In charge of keeping a steady flow of quality content.
· Work directly with writers and editors to help them improve their craft.
· Must be able to keep a steady workflow and meet all deadlines.
· Work directly with upper level management to help direct the sites editorial direction.
· Ability to serve as editor or writer if needed.
All staff will have the possibility of attending various exclusive industry events, including E3, PAX and GDC.
