It’s been quite the week for lovers of all things music game-related. In a couple separate incidents (a G4 screen grab and a now-deleted ScoreHero post), a flood of songs have been unintentionally revealed for the upcoming Rock Band 2. While these tracks all remain rumors until more solid confirmation comes in, if even half this is true then we’re in for quite a treat.
The suspected songs so far are:
- Panic Attack (Artist Unknown)
- Chop Suey (System of a Down)
- Give it Away (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- Everlong (Foo Fighters)
- Kids in America (Kim Wilde)
- Ace of Spades (Motorhead)
- Hello There (Cheap Trick)
- Anyway You Want It (Journey)
- Pinball Wizard (The Who)
- More Than a Feeling (Boston)
- All the Small Things (Blink 182)
- One Step Closer (Linkin Park)
- Peace Sells (Megadeth)
- Testify (Rage Against the Machine)
- White Wedding (Billy Idol)
- You Oughta Know (Allanis Morrisette)
- Aqua Lung (Jethro Tull)
- Bad Reputation (Joan Jett)
- Drain You (Nirvana)
- Man in the Box (Alice in Chains)
- Spoonman (Soundgarden)
- We Got the Beat (The Go-Gos)
Wow, just look at all that musical goodness. Can you legally place Megadeth, RATM, Billy Idol, Alice in Chains, and Foo Fighters in the same game, or does that exceed the legal limits of awesome? Next time the guy at GameStop asks me if I’d like to pre-order anything, I think I know what my answer is going to be.
