Call of Duty fans were given a treat on Monday evening when Activision announced that the private beta for the upcoming Call of Duty: World at War would now be public and available to download on Xbox Live. The 890 MB download lets you sample some of the action on three different maps from Treyarch’s upcoming World War II shooter, which will be in stores next week. Sadly, you will not get to try out the recently announced Zombie co-op mode until you pick up the full game.
For a full comparison of the differences between the previous title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the new CoD: World at War, be sure to check out our preview here. Expect more coverage of Call of Duty: World at War here at TGR soon.
