IGN now hosts an eight minute preview (divided into kid-safe and non kid-safe segments) for the upcoming CG movie Resident Evil: Degeneration.

This movie, unlike the western film trilogy, takes place in the canon universe of the video games. Series familiars Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield appear in the film, which takes place in an American airport during a (surprise, surprise) zombie outbreak.

The first eight minutes are, well, lame. However, Resident Evil is a series that embraces its lameness, so it’s hard to imagine what else fans could expect.

Moviegoers looking for mindless zombie fun might be hard pressed to catch this in theaters. Resident Evil: Degeneration will receive a limited theatrical release on November 13 in New York and November 18 in Los Angeles. Those living in other areas will get their chance with a DVD release on December 30.
