Following the success of its first DLC expansion, The Lost and The Damned, Rockstar has announced a second expansion for GTAIV, The Ballad of Gay Tony.
Sam Houser, the founder of Rockstar, said, “Liberty City is the most vibrant game world we’ve created yet. The episodic structure has allowed us to interweave stories, gameplay and atmosphere in a whole new way," said Rockstar founder Sam Houser.
"The team at Rockstar North have yet again surpassed themselves, and made something that is both epic and very innovative. This episode’s focus on high-end night life contrasts with the biker gangs portrayed in the lost and the damned, whilst giving us a lot of new gameplay possibilities."
The game puts you in control of Luis Lopez, the “part-time hoodlum” and “full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince” (or "Gay Tony"). The game will feature the usual loyalty juggling while also trying to figure out who is “real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."
The expansion will be coming to the Xbox 360 this fall for the price of 1600 Microsoft points. It will also be available for retail purchase along with the Lost and the Damned. They will both be bundled together in a pack called Episodes of Liberty City, which will be priced at the $39.99. Episodes will not require the original game to play.
There has been no news yet for a release for the Ps3 or PC versions of the game. Stay tuned to TGR as more information on The Ballad of Gay Tony becomes available.
