Gamers who spend too much on downloadable Rock Band tracks are going to catch a break on a few songs for the next month. According to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, McDonald’s has struck a deal with Harmonix and MTV Games to bring down the prices of two songs a week until June 2. The songs will drop from their regular price point of 160 Microsoft Points down to 80 Microsoft Points. After each week, those songs will return to their original price and two new songs will be discounted. The schedule of the discounts is as follows:
5/6 - 5/12:
“Crushcrushcrush” by Paramour
“Rock and Roll Band” by Boston
5/13-5/19:
“Shockwave” by Black Tide
“Sugar Magnolia” by The Grateful Dead
5/20-5/26:
“We Care A Lot” by Faith No More
“All the Small Things” by Blink-182
5/27-6/2:
“Gimme Three Steps” by Lynryd Skynyrd
“Dirty Little Secret” by The All-American Rejects
This is a good chance for wanna-be rockers to pick up any songs they may have been on the fence about. Rock on!
