Without putting too fine a point on it, this Christmas was largely a flop for gamers, with a paltry amount of titles released during the biggest buying season of the year. We know Modern Warfare 2 scared many publishers into postponing their games’ releases into 2010, but why do the publishers persist with dumping all their games into November without giving December so much as a sniff? Well, that remains a mystery, but it’s the start of a new year and thankfully there are several enticing titles awaiting us in January alone. Here’s a look at this month’s release list – and it makes for far better reading than last month’s.
